Game Review 5

DJ Max: Max Fever
DJ Max: Max Fever is a simpler version of the original DJ Max game with a few new added songs and easier gameplay. DJ Max is a game in which the player needs to hit up to a maximum of 6 buttons according to the song's rhythm or different sounds. The game also has a function which allows the player to adjust the game's speed to his liking. To play the game at a high speed allows for a large space between notes but requires good hand-eye co-ordination, while a slower speed requires more precision.

Players get a higher score by hitting all the notes accurately without missing. The game also has a 'Fever' system in which the player gets to activate a score multiplier if he/she hts a number of notes accurately. The Fever stacks up to 5 times, multiplying the player's score by 5.

Although Max Fever is a toned down version of DJ Max, it is still a challenge for players new to the DJ Max series. DJ Max: Max Fever is a game for music lovers or people who like to press alot of button on their PSP at once.

Game Review 4

Need For Speed: Undercover

Console: PS2,PS3,XBox,PC,HandPhones

NFS:Undercover follow the story of police officer turned undercover street racer. The player has to take on jobs and win races to infiltrate a street gang suspected of smuggling cars.

The gameplay of Undercover is similar to the previous NFS series featuring open world racing and free driving. The colors in Undercover are brighter than in Most Wanted.

Undercover also has a new race mode, "Highway Battle" where 2 players have to weave in and out of traffic on th highway to win by leading for a set amount of time or by having a huge lead.

Another difference is that the police chasing the player is now not dependant on the player's Heat level but instead of the player's level.

Whenever a player levels, he also gets certain points in different aspects of driving such as handling, acceleration, nitrous etc.
Although Undercover is a fairly new game with new concepts, I still feel that it can't compare to some of the previous series such as Underground. But Undercover is still a fun game for car lovers.

Game Review 3

Command & Conquer : Red Alert 3

Red Alert 3 is a real time strategy game developed by EA Los Angeles and published by Electronic Arts. Red Alert 3 introduces a new power into the mix rather than the old Soviet-Allies powers, the Empire of The Rising Sun. Red Alert 3 retains many of the original Command & Conquer RTS functions similar to the one used in Command & Conuer 3: Tiberium Wars.

Red Alert 3 focuses more on naval battles, a element missing in many of the previous Command & Conquer series, with new naval units and building being able to be built on water.
Red Alert 3 also supports online multiplayer games which pits players around the world with each other. All in all, Red Alert 3 is a fun game for RTS players and for people who like action or shotting games where u can just mass build tanks and crush the enemy.

Game Review 2

Mirror's Edge

Mirror's Edge is a FPS action-adventue game developed by EA.

This game's storyline follows Faith, a 'runner', who is trained in parkour who goes around the city looking for evidence to clear her sister's murder charge.

The game has realistic graphics and bright colors and does not have a HUD. The lack of a HUD and the bobbing of the camera view lets the player feel as if he is running or jumping.

The game's combat system mainly involves hand-to-hand combat with armed opponents. The player can also execute jumping or sliding kicks which deal more damage to the enemy than normal punches, the player can also pick up the weapons of defeated enemies although this slows the player's running speed. Mirror's Edge also has a function called 'Runner Vision' which displays the next direction to go in red and allows for time slow when in hand-to-hand combat. This time slow allows you to easily disarm the opponent when his weapon is highlighted in right.
Mirror's Edge is fun for people who like action games but yet like a huge environment to play in.
Mirror's Edge also features a multiplayer mode where you can race other players.

Game Review 1

Patapon 2

Patapon 2 is the sequel to Patapon, a rhythm based game where players have to set the beat for their army to advance, attack or defend.

In Patapon 2, there are various additions that were not present in Patapon. Mainly the Hero unit, the Hero unit is like a buffed-up version of your normal patapons. When you hit a perfect beat, your Hero starts to glow and will use his special attack on the next beat.

Different heros have different abillities. If your hero is using a spear, the spear explodes upon impact, damaging multiple enemies, but if he is using a sword & shield, your army is invulnerable for as long as you have a perfect beat.

The other addition to Patapon 2 is the multiplayer mode where players have to reach the end of the map by defeating a boss or toppling a fortress using only their hero units.

When the players have reached the end, they will have to play a minigame to open the egg, the egg then rewards them with equipments or materials for creating more patapons.

The patapons can also be upgraded multiple times for up to 10 times to unleash their full potential.

The game's story is quite interesting and makes you want to finsh the game to know the full sequence of events.

In short, this game is for people who like music/rhythm but still prefer a bit of story to go with it.
